Fans and supporters can make a pledge for each rep our team averages of 225 pound bench press. Our team goal is to bench 225 pounds 14 times each during our Lift for Life competition.
The Lift For Life Team Zip Em Up consists of the following members of the 2019 Clemson football team: Holden, Johnson, Rencher, Brown, Turner, Becker, Spector, Vinson, Phommachanh, Pinckney, Randolph, Williams, and Boyd
Lift For Life is the signature fundraising event for the Clemson Chapter. Lift for Life is an event held by our fellow college football student-athlete brothers at other universities across the country who have joined the Uplifting Athletes nationwide network of chapters.
Our Lift for Life is scheduled for Monday, July 15th in the weight room. The event is private this year.
The challenges faced by the Rare Disease Community are bigger than any one individual, team or organization can tackle alone. Here at Clemson we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes.
Please join our team by making a pledge today!
How you can help
The proceeds from our 2019 Lift for Life support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its charitable programs: Rare Disease Awareness, Rare Disease Research, Uplifting Experiences and Uplifting Leaders.
The Clemson Chapter started tackling rare diseases in 2014 when it joined Uplifting Athletes. Founded by former kicker Chandler Catanzaro and long snapper Jim Brown, the student-athlete led Clemson Chapter serves the rare disease community in honor of an assistant coach who fought kidney cancer, a former player who fights Castleman disease, and a member of the Tigers athletic staff whose child battles neuroblastoma.
A nonprofit organization founded in 2007, Uplifting Athletes inspires the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport. A rare disease is one that affects fewer than 200,000 Americans and typically lacks financial incentive to make and market new treatments.
Uplifting Athletes fulfills its mission through a unique network of college football student-athlete led chapters, Uplifting Ambassadors and Team UA participants. Since its inception, Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $4.5 million in support of the Rare Disease Community with a third of that, $1.5 million, given to fund rare disease research.
Thank you for your support of the Clemson Chapter and the Rare Disease Community. Every little bit helps. Please don’t forget to share this campaign and your support on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
