Proceeds benefit Uplifting Athletes, Inc.
Based on 8 yards, each worth $0
The 2022 Charleston Southern Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and our team is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes and its mission to inspire the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport.
Lift For Life is a signature event held by fellow student-athletes at universities across the country. Our Lift for Life is scheduled for July 1st.
Fans and supporters can make a pledge for each yard the Team Martin averages during the medicine ball toss. Our goal is to average 8 yards during our Lift for Life competition.
The challenges faced by the Rare Disease Community are bigger than any one individual, team or organization can tackle alone. Here at Charleston Southern we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes.
Please join our team by making a pledge today!
How you can help
The proceeds from our 2022 Lift for Life support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its charitable programs: Rare Disease Awareness, Rare Disease Research, Uplifting Experiences and Uplifting Leaders.
The Charleston Southern Chapter
The Charleston Southern chapter started tackling rare diseases when it joined Uplifting Athletes in 2021 and held its inaugural Lift For Life. Cooper Dawson, a native of South Carolina who transferred to CSU from Syracuse, has a strong connection to the Rare Disease Community. When he made his college choice, Dawson invited his good friend, who is a rare disease patient, to help make the announcement. At Syracuse Dawson participated in Lift For Life in 2019 and assumed a leadership role before transferring and bringing his passion to support the rare disease cause to his new school.

About Uplifting Athletes
A nonprofit organization founded in 2007, Uplifting Athletes inspires the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport. A rare disease is one that affects fewer than 200,000 Americans and typically lacks financial incentive to make and market new treatments. Uplifting Athletes fulfills its mission through a unique network of college football student-athlete led chapters, Uplifting Ambassadors and Team UA participants.
Since its inception, Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $5 million to support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its charitable programs: Rare Disease Awareness, Rare Disease Research, Uplifting Experiences and Uplifting Leaders.
