Fundraiser for Girls on the Run!

In less than 4 weeks, I will be participating in the 2nd Annual Bull City Squat Challenge sponsored by Fleet Feet Sports Carrboro/Durham in support of 3 local charities: Girls on the Run of the Triangle, the Merrick-Moore Backpack Buddies Project, and the A.P.S. of Durham. I will be representing Girls on the Run of the Triangle and I need your help in this fundraiser. My goal is to raise $1,500, which would go towards scholarships to help girls across the Triangle activate their limitless potential.

Girls on the Run of the Triangle services girls in the 3rd - 8th grades in Durham, Wake, and Orange counties. Girls on the Run teaches is a youth development program that teaches life skills through physical activity-based lessons and running games. Their their Girls on the Run participation, girls experience increased confidence, improved competence, and character development.

I ask you to sponsor me and Girls on the Run of the Triangle** by donating .25-$1 per squat completed on May 6th. My personal goal is 300 barbell back squats for the event (yikes!!).** Flat dollar amounts are also accepted.

For those who donate $100 or more, you will be entered into a special drawing with prizes including signed cookbooks from Vivian Howard (Chef and Farmer) and Ashley Christenson (Poole’s Diner) and a grand prize of a one night stay with dinner for 2 at The Durham Hotel in Durham, North Carolina.

The Bull City Squat Challenge was created to raise awareness to some of the area’s local charities. Their mission, since opening in December of 2015, has been to support the local Durham community and be a part of the solution.

Thank you in advance for your consideration. For updated information about Girls on the Run of the Triangle and the 2nd Annual Bull City Squat Challenge, please visit www.strongereveryday.solutions.
