The Children of Harrisburg's Boys & Girls Club need our help!
Learning loss is a key concern for all children during this crisis, but especially for the young people who need us the most. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Harrisburg has a fun solution to the educational challenges created from school closures due to the COVID-19 crisis.
That is why volunteers have pledged to record themselves reading books from an approved Summer Reading List. All children can watch the videos as they are shared on our Facebook Page!
You can help my donating to this campaign. The funds will support the Boys & Girls Club of Harrisburg to continue providing caring mentors to help children in our community develop essential skills for academic success, good character and citizenship and a healthy lifestyle.
The stay-at-home orders are challenging for all of us, but as Mason Cooley once said, “reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are!”
