Angry Turtle racing drives for Operation Motorsport

Support your favorite endurance team and read about the Veteran they are racing with!

The Angry Turtle racing team will be partnered up and driving in honor of Theo Bruulsema, a Royal Canadian Air Force Veteran and Operation Motorsport beneficiary!

Theo joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 2011 as an Aerospace Control Officer and attended Ryerson University for Aerospace Engineering, where he discovered his interest in motorsports by joining the Formula SAE team. After graduating, he was posted to CFB Trenton.  Part way through his military training he began to have medical issues which eventually led to his release in August 2018. Since his release, he has been very grateful to be involved through Operation Motorsport on many different teams and levels of racing, and is considering a career in motorsports.

From Theo, _“When you get medically released, it feels like your goals and aspirations are taken away from you. To have a new goal to work towards, even if it’s just for a weekend, can be very inspiring and help keep you moving forward. Being medically retired is an emotional experience – but I’ve been lifted by having time to share with many of the Operation Motorsport team. We’ve built an incredible spirit of camaraderie, but it is also opening my eyes to possibilities as I’m beginning a new life as a civilian after my service.”_

These drivers will do their best to race hard and complete as many laps as possible to help aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of these US/Canadian heros!
