Micah Pollard Sacks Cerebral Palsy “4Ayris”

During the recruiting process, “What is your WHY?” is something that I heard often. There are many reasons including an absolute love, passion & appreciation for the game, but there is a deeper WHY… my youngest sister Ayris.

I do because she can’t.

I run because she doesn’t walk.

I run fast because I know she wishes she could.

I fight through challenges because every day she does.

I keep my eye on the ball because it’s hard for her to stay focused.

I use all my strength because hers has been weakened.

I never give up because every day I see her fight.

I push myself because I know her little eyes are watching.

Her excitement of seeing me on that field just intensifies my drive, my why and my desire to win.

My why is so much bigger than football, especially this senior year as I wear my #4 jersey… it’s “4 Ayris.”
