East Tennessee State Football Lift For Life 2023: Defense

The 2023 East Tennessee State Football Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and our team is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes. Uplifting Athletes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which harnesses the power of sport to build community and invest in the lives of those impacted by rare disease.

Lift For Life is Uplifting Athletes’ signature event held by student-athletes at colleges and universities across the country. Our event is scheduled for April 28.

The challenges faced by the rare community are bigger than any one individual, team, or organization can tackle alone. Here at ETSU, we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes so that no person feels alone.

Supporting our Lift for Life is simple! Fans can pledge for each 225 bench press repetition the defense completes. Our goal is to average 18 reps during the event.

The ETSU Chapter

Uplifting Athletes is proud the Buccaneers from East Tennessee State University chose to be part of the network of chapters led by college football student-athletes. The ETSU Chapter was founded by Shaun Hastings in 2021 after the former chapter leader at Saint Francis transferred to ETSU. The 2022 Lift For Life was the Buccaneers’ first event to support the rare disease community and help tackle rare diseases.
