Western Michigan Chapter Touchdown Pledge Drive '19, Where Every Bronco Score Means More!
The student-athlete led Western Michigan Chapter of Uplifting Athletes is using college football as a platform to shine a spotlight on the Rare Disease Community by holding a Touchdown Pledge Drive throughout the month of October.
During Touchdown Pledge Drive month, the Western Michigan Broncos play home games against Miami (OH) and Bowling Green and travel to Toledo and Eastern Michigan. Fans can support the Broncos by making a pledge for each touchdown they score in all four games. We are projecting our team to score 12 touchdowns total! As the games unfold, watch and cheer as each touchdown scored helps raise money to support the Rare Disease Community.
The proceeds from our 2019 Touchdown Pledge Drive support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its commitment to create Uplifting Experiences, fund Rare Disease Research, and expand Rare Disease Awareness.

The Western Michigan Chapter
The Western Michigan University football program started tackling rare diseases in 2018 when Broncos Jamauri Bogan and Justin Tranquill founded the chapter. The 2018 Touchdown Pledge Drive was the Broncos’ first event to support the Rare Disease Community. Western Michigan also hosted a Rare Disease Awareness Game against Syracuse to open the 2018 season. Earlier this year Bogan, a former WMU star running back, participated in the 2019 Uplifting Athletes Reps For Rare Diseases campaign.
