Join me in helping strike out poverty this season!

Hey everyone! I’m so excited to be joining the Mariners, and I’d like to tell you about what I’ve been working on this season. I’m personally pledging $50 for every strikeout I throw as a donation to help strike out poverty in the community of La Cuñeta in the Dominican Republic.

I invite you to join me in making a Big League Impact by pledging alongside me, and as a thank-you, I’m giving out a lot of great and special prizes as rewards for joining me on this journey! Funds will go towards building a baseball field, bringing clean water to families, and growing sustainable farming to the community.

La Cuneta is a resilient, strong community that is living below the extreme poverty level. With 100 farms within two miles of the village, we will focus on providing a baseball field at the center to bring the community together, and specialized training for the neighboring farmers so that they can strategically grow crops to more efficiently feed their families and also have thriving businesses. While they have running water in their homes, they do not have clean water, so we will also try to raise enough money to provide a clean water facility for 1,000 people in their community.

A home in La Cuneta
