Trekking the PCT for Autistic Self Advocacy Network

We’ll be joining the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) at mile 700 in Kennedy Meadows and continuing north through the Sierras, Oregon and Washington’s Cascades.. all the way to mile 2650 on the border of Canada! We are very fortunate to participate in such a journey and want to take this opportunity to fundraise for for a very important cause: the Autistic Self Advocacy Network.

Tara has taught academic, social, and life skills to students on the spectrum for years and is a firm believer in self advocacy. ASAN is a grassroots nonprofit that advocates for public policy regarding equal opportunities, rights, and access for people with autism. Because it is run completely for and by people with autism, they directly influence the conversation. They strive to:

Advance civil rights for people with autism; Improve public perception of autism; Support self-reliance; Develop autistic cultural activities.
