Proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®
In support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Irvine Vaqueros football team is proud to join Touchdowns Against Cancer 2017!
Touchdowns Against Cancer is important to Irvine because childhood cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among young Americans. This is our way of helping the 16,000 children and adolescents that will be diagnosed with cancer this year. In April 19 year old former Vaquero Austin “Chino” Hwang (#41) lost his life to stage 4 Lung Cancer. He left us far too young and we want to honor his memory by doing our part to support cancer research.
We are challenging our fans to pledge for every touchdown we score between September 14th - 30th to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Be sure to share our campaign with our entire community on social media. Every pledge and every touchdown gets us closer to defeating childhood cancer!
