Based on 15 reps, each worth $0
The 2022 Syracuse Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and our team is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes and its mission to inspire the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport.
Lift For Life is a signature event held by fellow student-athletes at universities across the country. Our Lift for Life is scheduled for July 19th.
Fans and supporters can make a pledge for each repetition the Offense averages of 225 pound bench press. Our goal is to average 15 reps during our Lift for Life competition.
The challenges faced by the Rare Disease Community are bigger than any one individual, team or organization can tackle alone. Here at Syracuse we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes.
Please join our team by making a pledge today!
How you can help
The proceeds from our 2022 Lift for Life support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its charitable programs: Rare Disease Awareness, Rare Disease Research, Uplifting Experiences and Uplifting Leaders.
The Syracuse Chapter
The Syracuse Chapter started tackling rare diseases in 2013 when it joined Uplifting Athletes. The student-athlete led Syracuse Chapter serves the Rare Disease Community in honor of Rob Long, a former Orange punter and team captain.
Long was diagnosed with a rare malignant brain tumor and battled through his rare disease to make a full recovery. Long continues to be a strong rare disease advocate as the Executive Director for Uplifting Athletes.
About Uplifting Athletes
A nonprofit organization founded in 2007, Uplifting Athletes inspires the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport. A rare disease is one that affects fewer than 200,000 Americans and typically lacks financial incentive to make and market new treatments. Uplifting Athletes fulfills its mission through a unique network of college football student-athlete led chapters, Uplifting Ambassadors and Team UA participants.
Since its inception, Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $5 million to support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its charitable programs: Rare Disease Awareness, Rare Disease Research, Uplifting Experiences and Uplifting Leaders.
