The 2019 Stony Brook Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and Team Kamara is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes and its mission to inspire the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport.
Stony Brook Lift For Life: Team Kamara includes the following members of the 2019 Stony Brook Seawolves: Sam Kamara, Zachary Lucas, Nick Greer, Isaiah Givens, Keegan Henderson, Jack Pruban, Greg Young, Jaylyn Stover, Kendall Nero-Clark, Billy Barber, Brandon Lopez, Cameron Lucas, Delonte Hellams, Soulyemane Camera, Lorenzo Worrell, Alex Indelicato, Jack Cassidy, Kareem Gaulden, Seba Nekhat, and Will Corchado.
Lift For Life is the signature fundraising event for the Stony Brook Chapter. Lift for Life is an event held by our fellow college football student-athlete brothers at other universities across the country who have joined the Uplifting Athletes nationwide network of chapters.
Our Lift for Life is scheduled for March 15th. The event is private this year
The challenges faced by the Rare Disease Community are bigger than any one individual, team or organization can tackle alone. Here at Stony Brook we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes.
Fans and supporters can make a pledge for each yard of our teams furthest medicine ball toss. Our team goal is 30 yards during our Lift for Life competition.

The proceeds from our 2019 Lift for Life support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its charitable programs: Rare Disease Awareness, Rare Disease Research, Uplifting Experiences and Uplifting Leaders.
The Stony Brook Chapter started tackling rare diseases in 2014 when it joined Uplifting Athletes. Their inspiration comes from the long-term relationship between the Seawolves head football coach Chuck Priore and a rare disease patient, Joey Ferminella. That relationship between our program and Joey continues to be an inspiration for all of us.
A nonprofit organization founded in 2007, Uplifting Athletes inspires the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport. A rare disease is one that affects fewer than 200,000 Americans and typically lacks financial incentive to make and market new treatments.
Uplifting Athletes fulfills its mission through a unique network of college football student-athlete led chapters, Uplifting Ambassadors and Team UA participants. Since its inception, Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $4.5 million in support of the Rare Disease Community with a third of that, $1.5 million, given to fund rare disease research.
Thank you for your support of the Stony Brook Chapter and the Rare Disease Community. Every little bit helps. Please don’t forget to share this campaign and your support on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
