Proceeds benefit Teen Cancer America
I’m participating in Teen Cancer America’s 1st Annual Hoop-A-Thon Challenge presented by Duke Special Assistant, Nolan Smith to support teens and young adults battling cancer. As a kid, I had a lot of fun hanging out with friends and playing ball. But many teens have to worry about battling cancer instead of just being a kid.
If you know me, you know I LOVE hoops. So, on July 22, I will attempt to score as many points as possible during my 4-minute Hoop-A-Thon challenge. Help me drop some buckets in cancer’s face by making a pledge for every point I score or make a one-time flat donation. Every pledge and donation will make a difference for these young people fighting cancer!

Teen Cancer America’s work supports the coming together of physicians and other professionals in both pediatric and adult cancer research so they can improve teen and young adult cancer patient care for these young people. Age targeted care for this population is necessary for this unique age group. Research shows that some cancers that target this particular age group have not improved in over thirty years while improvements have been made in both pediatric and adult cancers alike. Teens and young adults with cancer are long overdue for an upgrade and Teen Cancer America can hopefully light the fire in America’s health systems. Just like I hope to light it up on the 22nd!
