Proceeds benefit Uplifting Athletes, Inc.
Based on 8 3-pointers, each worth $25
Our team competes on the court, but that doesn’t stop us from knowing what’s important off the court. February 18th, when we face Robert Morris, our team will score to raise money to support the Rare Disease Community through the Saint Francis Chapter of Uplifting Athletes. We are asking fans to pledge toward every three-pointer we score during our game against the Colonials
Proceeds from our pledge drive will benefit the mission of Uplifting Athletes.
The Saint Francis Chapter started tackling rare diseases in 2012 when it joined Uplifting Athletes’ network of nationwide college chapters. The student-athlete led Saint Francis Chapter serves the Rare Disease Community in honor of the younger brother of former Red Flash wide receiver Jeff Wasilewski. Since 2012, the chapter has held several events to raise money and awareness for the Rare Disease Community including their annual Lift For Life and Touchdown Pledge Drive.
Uplifting Athletes is a national nonprofit that inspires the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport and empowers medical researchers to find cures. A rare disease is one that affects fewer than 200,000 Americans and consequently lacks financial incentive to make and market new treatments. Founded in 2007, Uplifting Athletes has college football student-athlete led chapters nationwide in FBS and FCS programs including half the schools in the Big Ten and ACC conferences.
Thank you for supporting Uplifting Athletes mission to inspire the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport. Every little bit helps. Please don’t forget to share our 3’s to Tackle Rare Disease campaign and your support on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
