Help Penn State Men's Tennis "Hit for Life"
Your Penn State Men's Tennis has teamed up with Uplifting Athletes, a student-athlete run non-profit organization, in efforts to raise awareness for rare diseases that affect less than 200,000 Americans and consequently little attention is paid to them.
Last year, senior captain, Michael Reilly, fought off kidney disease and is now taking an initiative to raise awareness and money to help others fight the disease. Pledgers have the opportunity to donate an amount for every Penn State tennis match won! The Penn State chapter of Uplifting Athletes raises money and awareness for kidney cancer and kidney disease. Penn State was the original chapter of Uplifting Athletes, and since the Nittany Lions have now raised more than $1 million for kidney cancer research since first starting in 2003. http://www.upliftingathletes.org/ua-chapter/penn-state
