Support the Penn Chapter of Uplifting Athletes!

After sharing the Ivy League championship with Harvard and Dartmouth last season, the Penn Quakers have every reason to believe an outright Ivy League title is there for the taking in 2016.

Penn welcomes back 12 starters, including seven on offense, and have more veteran offensive firepower back in the fold than any team in the Ivy League.

The Penn Chapter of Uplifting Athletes is using its 2016 Ivy League season to support its mission of using college football as a platform to inspire the rare disease community with hope through the power of sport.

Moved by former player Kaleb Germinaro, recently diagnosed with MS, David Fajgenbaum, a Castleman’s Disease Researcher who has the disease himself, and Vhito Decapria, five year old team captain and brain cancer survivor, the Quakers are full speed ahead this season to raise awareness and money about rare diseases. They need YOUR help to do that.

Each touchdown on offense, turnover on defense and kicking point from the special teams during the Quakers’ seven-game Ivy League slate this season will support the rare disease community.

The leadership team of the student-athlete led Penn Chapter, along with all the members of the 2016 Quakers squad, is asking fans to support their efforts by making a pledge to the offense, defense or special teams through the online Pledge Football Pledge Drive site.

Proceeds from the Penn Chapter of Uplifting Athletes Football Pledge Drive supports rare disease research and patient focused programs.

The challenges faced by the rare disease community are bigger than any one individual, team or organization can tackle alone. The grassroots effort of the Penn Chapter, along with a nationwide network of teams, is uniquely positioned to educate and engage the local community and shine a spotlight on rare diseases.

Support the Penn Chapter and its efforts to make a difference in the rare disease community by signing up for its Penn Football Pledge Drive today!
