The 2022 Penn Volleyball Lift for Life is coming up and our team is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes and its mission to inspire the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport.
Lift For Life is a signature event held by fellow student-athletes at universities across the country. Our Lift for Life is scheduled for April 4th.
Fans and supporters can make a pledge for each rep our team averages of 185 pound trap bar deadlift. Our goal is to average 10 reps during our Lift for Life competition.
The challenges faced by the Rare Disease Community are bigger than any one individual, team or organization can tackle alone. Here at Penn we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes.
Please join our team by making a pledge today!
How you can help
The proceeds from our 2022 Lift for Life support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its charitable programs: Rare Disease Awareness, Rare Disease Research, Uplifting Experiences and Uplifting Leaders.
The Penn Chapter Welcomes the Penn Women’s Volleyball Team
The Penn women’s volleyball program has joined the Penn Chapter of Uplifting Athletes that embraces the mission to inspire the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport. In 2021, Penn Uplifting Athletes football President Grant Ristoff and volleyball player Maddie McGregor connected about expanding the scope of the Penn Chapter. McGregor stepped into a leadership role, attended the 2022 Leadership Development Conference to help facilitate holding the inaugural Women’s Volleyball Lift For Life event in 2022.
About Uplifting Athletes
A nonprofit organization founded in 2007, Uplifting Athletes inspires the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport. A rare disease is one that affects fewer than 200,000 Americans and typically lacks financial incentive to make and market new treatments. Uplifting Athletes fulfills its mission through a unique network of college football student-athlete led chapters, Uplifting Ambassadors and Team UA participants.
Since its inception, Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $5 million to support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its charitable programs: Rare Disease Awareness, Rare Disease Research, Uplifting Experiences and Uplifting Leaders.
