On November 9th, Veterans Day Weekend, I will be surfing at Cowells Beach, Santa Cruz, CA, to catch as many waves as possible in support of Operation Surf!

"What's Operation Surf?" you may be wondering.  Happy you asked!  Over the past year I've been getting more involved with bringing surfing to veterans!  Twice per year I volunteer for a program called Operation Surf.  Operation Surf channels the healing powers of the ocean to restore hope, renew purpose, and revitalize community. Through programs like Operation Surf we use the power of the ocean and compassionate mentorship to instill hope, helping wounded military heroes overcome everyday challenges and utterly transform their outlook and life. One wave at a time.

There are 22 veteran suicides a day, but through Operation surf our community comes together and say’s “not on our watch”. Join us as we raise critical funds to support more wounded military men and women through the healing powers of the ocean, rehabilitative surf therapy, wellness training, and camaraderie. The goal is unWAVEring - to change our heroes lives, not just their week, and with your help we can make it possible.

I've been humbled and moved by the power of Operation Surf; it provides such drastic and ongoing changes in one week...myself included!
