THIS IS BIGGER THAN FOOTBALL

I promised myself as a child if I achieved my dream of making it in the NFL, I would use my resources to give back to the community. It’s not okay that there are still children in the world who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. It’s not okay that there are still communities without clean water. We have been so blessed, and we want to use what we have been given to help others. Food for the Hungry invests in communities and helps them become self-sufficient, and that’s something that my wife Gloria and I believe in wholeheartedly and want to help make happen.

WATER Project (GOAL = $19,075)

My goal is for all of us to come together and build a water system for the area of Francois in the Bellevue La Montagne region of Haiti. We visited this area just a few months ago to see the amazing work going on in this community and we want to be part of seeing them thrive. Food for the Hungry has a plan to capture a spring source and set up a sanitation and distribution system that would bring water closer to homes in the area. This project would not serve one single community but rather THREE communities that currently spend many hours fetching water as this is the only source for their daily household water.
