Twins fans, I cannot wait to step into the batter’s box and begin ripping the ball for the Twin Cities. The energy in this clubhouse and on our team is special, and we all have a great feeling about 2018.
As the new guy, I am especially fired up to contribute to a team that made the playoffs last year, and I am also looking forward to joining my new teammates Kyle Gibson, Brian Dozier and Zach Duke in teaming up with Big League Impact and dedicating my on-field performance towards building a high school in a region of Haiti called Ferrier Village. Our goal is to raise a combined $340,000 and build a 20 classroom high school.
Living below the poverty line is incredibly difficult and many of the children in Ferrier are targets for trafficking and slavery. This school and village will help the orphans and the marginalized begin to lift themselves out of poverty. Education is a key component of overcoming the circumstances you were born into.
So, when I heard that Kyle is donating $100 per strikeout, Duke $200 per K and Dozier $500 a homer, I decided to join them, but, I want you all to know that I will be donating $501 per home run I hit. Yep, that is $1 more than Doz!
You can join us by pledging a donation for every home run I record this season.
Every dollar we raise through Big League Impact will go to Help One Now to assist in building this school, and if you join me, you’ll receive some once-in-a-lifetime experiences and one-of-a-kind memorabilia.

- $100 total donation gets you a custom campaign t-shirt and entry to our monthly “Game Used Gear” drawings. One item from each of us; Dozier, Gibson and Duke, will be raffled off each month.
- $500 total donation gets you an autographed piece of memorabilia from a player/players
- $1,000 donation you get an autographed baseball from a strikeout or win
- $2,500 total donation wins tickets to a game and BP passes for four
- $5,000 donation is eligible for a suite for a game and BP passes
- $10,000 donation is eligible for a locker room tour, BP passes, suite to a game, and entry to fantasy football league 2018
