JOIN ME IN MAKING A BIG LEAGUE IMPACT AT HOME AND ABROAD

Baseball has given me so much, including the opportunity to travel around the world. On some of those travels I have seen people who are suffering greatly; suffering without a roof over their head, suffering without enough to eat, suffering without safe drinking water, suffering without proper medical treatment. This season I’m taking the mound to strike out poverty for some of the world’s most vulnerable people.

I’ve joined Adam Wainwright’s Big League Impact and its mission to help meet basic human needs like food, clean water, medical care and shelter. Big League Impact has teamed up with Striking Out Poverty, an initiative of Food for the Hungry, in an effort to restore dignity and hope to people in our local communities and around the globe.

To go along with my jersey number 31, please join me and take the challenge to strike out poverty by pledging $3.10 for every strikeout I get from May through the end of the season. I’m shooting for at least 50 Ks.

HOW YOU CAN HELP + VIP REWARDS

  • Everyone who pledges will receive an autographed photo card
  • Pledge $3.10 per K and receive 4 tickets to an A’s game*

I’m personally pledging $100 for every strikeout I get this season. To up the ante and make sure I’m earning your support, I’m also pledging $200 for every walk. Adam has agreed to match up to $250,000 that we collectively raise, so anything you give will have double the impact!
