Helsoooo's Surf-A-Thon Fundraiser for City Surf Project

Friends and Family! I’m very excited to announce that I’m participating in City Surf Project’s Surf-A-Thon on June 9th at Ocean Beach. This fundraising event aims to connect underrepresented Bay area youth with the ocean. I am inviting family and friends to make a pledge per wave I get during the surf-a-thon, or make a one-time flat donation. You can track my fundraising progress by viewing the leaderboard.

To make things more interesting, and to motivate the masses, I have devised a donation based system to determine my medium of froth. In other words, the more you donate per wave, the more ridiculous and absurd my “surfboard” will be for the day. Help me help you help the City Surf Project by forcing me to make an absolute fool of myself in the name of stoke and charity.

In addition to my warmest and sincerest appreciation, all pledgers will receive the most obnoxious and embarrassing picture of yours truly as a thank you for sharing the stoke with me!

$0-$14/wave - Wavestorm Foamy

a.k.a The Wave Hound. Realistically, the float of a foamy combined with the twin-turbine-dual-engine-turbo-motors that connect my arms to my body means I’m going to catch a thousand waves. You should probably get more of your friends to donate before you become personally responsible for CSP’s most positive cash-flow year of their existence.

$15-$24/wave - Foamy…. In a Gorilla Suit

At $15/wave the people will have upped the ante, and so will I.

$25/wave Flat-water kayak (Still in gorilla suit)

Oru Kayak’s Bay model is designed for what it sounds like… A bay. But if you good people get me up to $25 per wave I will endure the inevitable beating the legendary Ocean Beach will have waiting for me.

$50/wave - Inflatable Flamingo (Oh yeah, def wearing the gorilla suit)

I’m not doing this to for the instagrams in a pool. I’m doing this to raise some serious cash for the CSP, and if you’re serious about it with me I’ll be bombing heavy OB barrels on the back of a screaming eagle (while dressed as a gorilla).

$100/wave - A Door (Would still need the Gorilla suit so people take me seriously)

To be honest I’m not 100% sure this is possible, but damn it at this point the people deserve it.
