Help Josh Raise Money for Medical Costs

Hello everyone! My name is Josh Lee and I need your help. On Saturday, July 7th, I will be running to help raise money for my brother-in-law. I enjoy running and have always been curious how far I could go. This is my time to test my limits in support of Ben Hamrick as he battles cancer.

Ben Hamrick and his wife Shana have been married for 7 years and have two boys Wyatt(6) and Emmett(3). Their entire world was turned upside down on May 4th when Ben was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Ben underwent surgery that Monday to remove the tumor. After testing it was determined he was stage IIB and the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes and blood. Starting Monday, June 11th, Ben will receive three rounds made up of three different types of aggressive chemotherapy each lasting 21 days.

For those that don’t know Ben this is not the only time cancer has affected his life. He lost his first wife 9 years ago after an 18-month battle with leukemia. He is a man with tremendous strength and character. He is an amazing father, husband, son, and friend. His kindness and willingness to help others is truly inspiring.

This wonderful family has been through so much in the last month and the road ahead will be a difficult one in so many ways. Because of a non-traditional insurance plan, they have already come out of pocket thousands of dollars and the cost of by the end of this is unknown. My hope is to ease some of the financial burden so they can focus on healing.

Please help Josh Lee reach his goal of raising $15,000 to go towards Ben’s medical costs. You can pledge per mile or make a flat donation.

Josh’s goal is to run as many miles as he can in a 12-hour period. He is aiming for 30 miles.
