Help us Conquer Fanconi Anemia!

This young Florida State team still has an opportunity to produce a double-digit win total for the regular season with seven victories in its nine games to date.

The Florida State Chapter of Uplifting Athletes will be looking for the offense to deliver plenty of touchdowns for its game at Doak Campbell Stadium against NC State on November 14 to support its Touchdown Pledge Drive.

Uplifting Athletes is a national non-profit organization with 25 chapters that support our mission to make a positive and lasting impact on the rare disease community through the power of college football.

Each touchdown the Seminoles score against NC State will benefit the student-athlete led Florida State Chapter and its efforts to raise awareness of and research funds for the rare disease Fanconi anemia.

The 2015 Florida State football team is asking its fans to support the student-athlete led Uplifting Athletes Chapter by making a pledge through the Seminoles’ Touchdown Pledge Drive. Formed in 2013 by former FSU tight end Kevin Haplea, the Florida State Chapter is a champion for the rare disease Fanconi anemia. One of Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher’s sons, Ethan Fisher, is battling Fanconi anemia.

Florida State has held Touchdown Pledge Drive’s each of the last two years during the regular season. The FSU Chapter has also held fundraising and awareness campaigns as part of the BCS National Championship in 2013 and the Seminoles’ appearance in the 2014 College Football Playoffs at the Rose Bowl.

In the past two years the Florida State Chapter has raised more than $30,000 for Fanconi anemia research. The Florida State Chapter and its Touchdown Pledge Drive supports Kidz1stFund, a Tallahassee-based non-profit founded by the Fisher family that directly supports Fanconi anemia research.

Support the Florida State Chapter and its efforts to make a difference in the rare disease community by signing up for its Touchdown Pledge Drive today.
