Join Team LSU in our effort to support the local underserved community. LSU and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund have agreed to raise $100,000 for the next two years towards the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. When we reach our goal, we will receive $150,000 to benefit the underserved in the Baton Rouge community. LSU is partnered with Our Lady of the Lake and has agreed to give funds back to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
Funds will be primarily raised through a pledge program that will include Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Gymnastics. Both basketball teams will be asking fans to pledge a monetary amount for every free throw made at games both home and away in the month of February. Gymnastics will be asking fans to pledge a monetary amount for every team event scored over 49.00 during the meets on January 17 and February 16. All pledges will be made and collected through the Kay Yow website.
