Every Rep Matters In The Fight to End Slavery
With the Crossfit community’s help, IJM has provided freedom to more than 4,000 men, women and children in 2017 alone. Each year multiple rescue operations have been funded through the Reps for Rescue WOD, bringing freedom to thousands of victims trapped in the brutal existence of human trafficking & other forms of violence against the poor. Over $40,000 has been raised since 2016.
Beginning in 2016, just outside D.C. at Jeff & Maggie Tinchers Crossfit Reston, the idea was birthed to design a challenging partner WOD that in some way helped participants identify with the pain & suffering IJM’s clients experience and raise funds for rescue. Soon, other gym owners, moved by the the realities of human trafficking in our world, joined in by hosting the R4R workout at Invictus, Crossfit Hilliard/Eleventh Element, and elsewhere.
