December 18th @ Toyota Center (Houston, TX)

The Battleground 2k19 is a premiere college basketball event that provides the platform for athletes to compete, create community change and highlight relevant social issues. This high-level triple-header, in connection with Athletes Against Abuse [a3], will strive to blur the lines between sport and service by inspiring athletes to use their talent, notoriety and influence to bring awareness to child abuse in our country. The Battleground 2k19 will give these college programs the opportunity to compete...not just for the sake of winning, but also for the cause of change.

You can help support Athletes Against Abuse by making a pledge for every point your favorite team scores during The Battleground 2k19!

With your support, The Battleground 2k19 benefiting Athletes Against Abuse will create opportunities for these collegiate athletes to mentor, empower and encourage children who have experienced abuse or abandonment. On December 17th, the Men's Basketball Programs of Baylor, UTSA, Oregon State, Utah State, UT Martin and South Florida will be in Houston to support the Athletes Against Abuse Initiative and work with local children's organizations that benefit abused children. On December 18th, these 6 schools will participate in a one-day college basketball triple-header at Toyota Center entitled The Battleground 2k19. We truly believe that this campaign and associated activities will greatly impact the lives of abused children and be a rewarding experience for the collegiate athletes and their Universities.
