OutRight – official LA Marathon charity partner and a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization – will be running to support our mission to advance LGBTIQ human rights across the globe:
Have you ever wanted to finish a full marathon or are you looking to set a new personal record? Are you interested in running for a larger cause – equality and freedom from violence and discrimination? Whatever your goals are, we invite you to join Team OutRight and make them a reality at the Los Angeles Marathon on March 8, 2020!
WHY SHOULD YOU RUN FOR TEAM OUTRIGHT?
You'll be running to change the entire world. Our mission – to advance LGBTIQ human rights for everyone everywhere – is all inclusive. We work or have a hand in every region in the world, and your support helps us to better facilitate, enact, and transform the world to where it should be: a place wehre rights are enjoyed by everyone, regardless of thier sexual orientation or gender identity. Plus, you'll be achieving your own fitness goals and joining a fun and fabulous community/team of OutRight supporters!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Every runner on OutRight's team pledges to raise $1,000 or more to support our mission. That might seem like a lot to you, but it's also a lot for us. with $1,000 we and our partners can hold a class for training (police officers, media, etc.). When you sign up with Team OutRight, you'll be provided with helpful resources, including a detailed fundraising guide with templates and ideas. We'll make sure that you're fully equipped and beyond confident to fundraise $1,000 by March 8, 2020.
We'll be there in person on race day to cheer you on as you run across Los Angeles for an incredible cause – human rights for LGBTIQ people everywhere. We will even meet up before or after the event to celebrate our team's success!
