Proceeds benefit Veterinary Leadership Institute
Based on 206 miles, each worth $22.33
I’m excited to be part of the inaugural VLE Cycling Challenge! This year’s ride, the 206 mile Seattle to Portland (STP) on July 13-14, 2019 is dedicated to the memory of Drake Charles, a friend, role model, and exemplary leader. Along with two other VLE Team cyclists, Jason Wood and Seth Vredenberg, we’re issuing a challenge to help grow leadership capacity in the veterinary profession. You can help us by making a pledge of as little as 10 cents a mile! Our goal is to raise funds for scholarships to allow veterinary students, academic faculty, and private practitioners to attend the Veterinary Leadership Experience (VLE), an annual leadership development event held at Ross Point Camp and Conference center in Post Falls, ID. Check out the video on this web page to get a sense of the VLE’s impact! I’m proud of my 14 year affiliation with the VLE and see this Cycling Challenge as an opportunity to “pay it forward!”
