The 2019 Davidson Chapter Lift for Life is coming up and Barbell Boys is proud to dedicate our performance in support of Uplifting Athletes and its mission to inspire the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport.
The Barbell Boys is made up of the following current Davidson Football players:
Tony Collins, Ethan Steinbacher, Cole Foley, Greyson Sonntag, Wyatt Hall, TJ Elliot, Stephen Shank, Gunnar Leyendecker, Sean Holton, Kendahl Ross, and Paxton Williamson.
Lift For Life is the signature fundraising event for the Davidson Chapter. Lift for Life is an event held by our fellow college football student-athlete brothers at other universities across the country who have joined the Uplifting Athletes nationwide network of chapters.
Our Lift for Life is scheduled for April 25th. The event is private this year
The challenges faced by the Rare Disease Community are bigger than any one individual, team or organization can tackle alone. Here at Davidson we take pride in the opportunity to shine a spotlight on rare diseases and support Uplifting Athletes.
Fans and supporters can make a pledge for every rep Barbell Boys averages on 225 pound bench press. Our team goal is to average 9 reps during our Lift for Life competition.
How you can help
The proceeds from our 2019 Lift for Life support the mission of Uplifting Athletes and its charitable programs: Rare Disease Awareness, Rare Disease Research, Uplifting Experiences and Uplifting Leaders.
Davidson College joined the nationwide network of Uplifting Athletes chapters last summer with their inaugural Lift For Life. The Davidson Chapter made an immediate impact and we look forward to continuing to grow the impact and the tradition at Davidson College.
A nonprofit organization founded in 2007, Uplifting Athletes inspires the Rare Disease Community with hope through the power of sport. A rare disease is one that affects fewer than 200,000 Americans and typically lacks financial incentive to make and market new treatments.
Uplifting Athletes fulfills its mission through a unique network of college football student-athlete led chapters, Uplifting Ambassadors and Team UA participants. Since its inception, Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $4.5 million in support of the Rare Disease Community with a third of that, $1.5 million, given to fund rare disease research.
Thank you for your support of the Davidson Chapter and the Rare Disease Community. Every little bit helps. Please don’t forget to share this campaign and your support on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
