Danielle Kang Birdies to Build Better Futures

When I was young I would write goals. I wanted to be a pro. I wanted to win a major. However, it wasn’t just about personal success and achievement. From a very early age, my parents instilled a strong conviction to give back; to do what you can to make the world a better place. So, one of my first goals was to be a partner of UNICEF and help children around the world.

I am proud and humbled that the game of golf has allowed me to achieve my goals, and live out my dreams, and extremely excited that this season, my seventh on tour, I will be using the game I love so much to support this organization that means so much to me. This is your chance to join me.

What stands out about UNICEF compared to other organizations is how very experienced UNICEF is. The way UNICEF functions, it’s not just about hunger, it’s about taking care of the human as a whole. Protection. Food. Shelter. Medical. I love the fact that UNICEF has invested in every single aspect of that. Of protecting human rights, children’s rights.

I always thought that if I make a birdie, it’s not going to affect a child’s health, hunger or education. Now, when you see me make a birdie, you’ll be reminded that there’s an organization called UNICEF that’s helping children, and now, you too can be a part of it when you make your pledge.
