Proceeds benefit Youth on Course
On Monday, August 22nd, I’ll be participating in a Hundred Hole Hike at Claremont CC to raise money and awareness for Youth on Course. YOC provides its members with access to golf for $5 or less, summer jobs through its caddie and internship programs, and college scholarships.
Now in its 10th year, YOC operates in 10 states and is in the process of expanding nationally. It serves more than 15,000 youth annually, providing 120+ summer jobs, and nearly $250k in college scholarship funds. You can learn more about YOC at (http://www.youthoncourse.org).
Things got far more personal for me this year when contributions made personally and through a Men’s golf group afford Aja Loo the ability to receive a College scholarship (She will be attending UC Irvine). I met her at the luncheon in Sacramento this year and it solidified my conviction in the value of this organization and mission.
To support my HHH for Youth on Course, you can pledge any amount towards each hole of golf I play. For example, if you pledge $1 per hole and I play 100 holes, that’s $100 towards supporting Youth on Course’s programs. I’ll be playing from sunup to sundown, walking 20+miles, and taking hundreds of swings. It will be a fun, but challenging day, and your backing will help keep me going!
