Cold water swimming in January

During the month of January myself and my friend Madison will be alternating swimming (plunging) into the cold Maine winter waters daily to raise money for SPCA (society for the prevention of cruelty to animals) and maternal mental health. The mental health portion will be via Scholarships for moms for doula care and or acupuncture via Sarah Tewhey in Southwest harbor, Maine-she will match a portion of whatever I raise. Both causes that are important to us as animal lovers and also the importance of maternal mental health. Both different but important. I dedicate my swims to my 13yo lab Tess who passed this October. She was my best swimming buddy.
