Lebanon Valley Soccer Club Scores Goals for the Good of Soccer

The Lebanon Valley Soccer Club provides quality soccer programs for over 400 boys and girls from Campbelltown, Palmyra, and the surrounding communities of the Lebanon Valley. From April 23-24th, Lebanon Valley Soccer Club teams participated in the 1st Annual "Goals for the Good of Soccer" Challenge to benefit Lebanon Valley Soccer Club. Thirteen teams competed against each other to see who could raise the most money and score the most goals.

Using the power of sport for social good, thirteen Lebanon Valley Soccer Club teams raised more than $3,500 for the Lebanon Valley Soccer Club in one weekend powered by PLEDGE IT.

Founded in 2014, PLEDGE IT is an online fundraising platform that empowers teams and athletes to raise money based on their athletic performance. Fans can pledge any dollar amount for every touchdown, home run, goal or point (any stat) scored to benefit their favorite cause.

Lebanon Valley Soccer Club was looking for a new way to get their teams (and parents) excited about fundraising. Fundraising is difficult and typically seen as a burden by most players and parents but it is crucial to sustaining impactful programs such as the Lebanon Valley Soccer Club. Lebanon Valley Soccer Club was able to use PLEDGE IT's Group Campaign feature to recruit thirteen teams to create fundraising campaigns and use the Group Campaign feature to encourage teams to compete against each other for a chance to win free training jerseys.

With the help of 120 supporters, the thirteen participating Lebanon Valley Soccer Club teams were able to raise more than $3,500 in one weekend. The U11 Girls soccer team raised more than $1,000 claiming victory for the most money raised during the campaign. Teams scored a combined 44 goals and the U14 Warriors Boys team scored the most goals by recording 10 huge goals.
