Red Land Little League didn’t flinch on the big stage Sunday night, and the Mid-Atlantic Region champion is off to an impressive 2-0 start at the 2015 Little League World Series.
In a dramatic sixth inning that became an instant classic, Northwood, S.C. rallied from an early six-run deficit and put a four-spot on the board in the top of the final inning to surge ahead of Red Land 8-6.
Three outs from what could have been a devastating defeat, Red Land never made a single out in the bottom of the sixth and rallied behind a Kaden Peifer solo home run and Jaden Heline’s two-run double to claim a dramatic 9-8 walk-off victory.
This Red Land team continues to pile up runs at an alarming pace even on the biggest stage in Little League baseball. And while under those bright lights in Williamsport, Pa., the team from suburban Harrisburg, Pa. is not only capturing the attention of baseball fans nationwide, but supporting kids with cancer, too.
For each run Red Land scores during this magical ride at the Little League World Series, fans are pledging their support to the Vs. Cancer Foundation in partnership with the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Fans can also make one-time donations.

The Red Land Vs. Cancer campaign powered by PLEDGEIT is up to more than $210 per run. Entering the 2015 Little League World Series, the goal was to raise $7,500 in support of families and life saving research for pediatric cancers.
With 27 runs on the board in 10 innings, Red Land has already raised more than $5,700 for kids with cancer.
Red Land will play again Wednesday night, and fans can still support the Red Land Vs. Cancer campaign and make your pledge per run today to help kids with cancer through the Vs. Cancer Foundation in partnership with the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
