Bismack Biyombo seems like a pretty great dude. When the Toronto Raptors host the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night, the 23-year-old rebounding machine has even more of a reason to remain a rebounding machine. Biyombo will donate $1,000 for every board he grabs to the Eastern Congo Initiative, which was founded by Ben Affleck.
Biyombo, a native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is averaging more than eight rebounds per game this season and has collected more than 15 rebounds on seven separate occasions. His pledge, then, is not insubstantial. Those who wish to donate can do so by visiting pledgeit.org/bismack. So far, as of this writing, over 40 people have combined to pledge more than $200 for every board Biyombo grabs.
