Proceeds benefit Teen Cancer America
I’m participating in Teen Cancer America’s 1st Annual Hoop-A-Thon Challenge. This event raises funds to support teens and young adults battling cancer. It's presented by Duke Special Assistant, Nolan Smith, which has me very excited because as everyone knows, I am a big Duke fan.
On July 22, I will attempt to score as many points as possible during my 4-minute challenge time. We will tally up all the points that I make, and I’m inviting you to pledge per point or to make a one-time flat donation.

Every pledge and donation will make a significant impact on the lives of teens and young adults fighting cancer!
Teen Cancer America’s work supports the coming together of healthcare professionals in pediatric and adult oncology so that teen and young adult cancer patient care can be improved through research and practice. Age targeted care is necessary for medical treatment and psychosocial development of this unique age group.
Research shows that some cancers that target this age group have not had improved survival expectancy in over thirty years. Meanwhile, improvements have been made in both pediatric and adult cancers suvival. Teens and young adults with cancer need an upgrade and Teen Cancer America can light the fire in America’s health systems. To learn more about Teen Cancer America, visit www.teencanceramerica.org.
