Help us create a lasting impact today!

The Tennessee Golf Foundation, 501(c)(3), utilizes its resources in each region of Tennessee, including regional directors and staff, to positively impact the game and its participants, regardless of age, gender or ethnicity. Tennessee is a model state for the rest of the country in such areas as cooperative golf administration, junior golf development, The First Tee, and cooperative culture that emphasizes collaboration between amateurs and professionals, men and women, juniors and seniors. TGF programming is currently in 62 of 95 counties in Tennessee, impacting 42,200 youth annually.

The Tennessee Golf Foundation continues to grow its programs such as The Simmons Bank Open for The Snedeker Foundation, The First Tee of Tennessee, The Sneds Tour, PGA HOPE, Scott Stallings’ Kids Play Free Program, Special Olympics of Tennessee Golf Program, Tennessee Middle School Golf Association, and many more; the primary goal is providing affordable and accessible programming to the youth and veterans of Tennessee.

An incredible story from our 2021 Simmons Bank Open is when two juniors, who participate in TGF programming, Monday Qualified for the Simmons Bank Open. It’s a great accomplishment to Monday Qualify for any PGA Tour event, but it’s magnified when it’s done by high school students. To make the story even more memorable, Cameron Tankersley of Dickson, TN, made the cut by posting rounds of 72-71. Upon walking off the 18th green Friday evening, Cameron and his friends celebrated his incredible achievement together.

Cameron’s story is certainly an outlier, but stories like this are told to share the impact golf can have in our community. Every single day, we open our doors all across the state to anyone, regardless of their situation, who wants to learn and grow in the game. Participation in our programming is at an all-time high, in some cases increasing by more than 100%. Coaches and administrators are being pushed to the limit to find additional resources to meet the demand of our constituents, and we’re going to need your help!

The Simmons Bank Open Birdies For Kids Campaign is a fun way for the community to rally together and make a lasting impact on our youth’s future. There are two ways to participate in the birdie campaign, you may pledge a dollar amount per birdie or make a fixed donation. Certain pledge/donation levels will receive 2022 Simmons Bank Open general admission tickets/hospitality passes. See below for the five (5) levels.

$.05 pledge = 4 General Admission tickets (single day of your choice)

$.10 pledge = 4 weekly General Admission tickets (4 tickets each day, May 5-8, 2022)

$1.25 pledge or $2,000 donation = 10-pack of Shared Hospitality Passes (single day access of your choice, all-inclusive food/beverage).

$2.00 pledge or $3,000 donation = 4-pack of Shared Hospitality & Sponsor Pavilion Passes (2-day access of your choice, all-inclusive food/beverage).

$3.25 pledge or $5,000 donation = 10-pack of Shared Hospitality Passes (4-day access, all-inclusive food/beverage).

A pledge or donation of a qualifying amount will be contacted by the Simmons Bank Open staff. While pledges and donations are accepted until the conclusion of the Simmons Bank Open, in order to receive tickets/hospitality passes, your pledge/donation must be received by 5:00 pm CT on April 22, 2022.

If you are interested in purchasing additional tournament hospitality (all-inclusive food/beverage), please contact Trevor Spathelf at TSpathelf@tngolf.org.
