Thank You So Much For Your Support!

Barry Dana is a Penobscot tribal member, teacher, cultural knowledge keeper, long time advocate and activist for Indigenous Sovereignty and Land Return to Native Peoples. Barry is running on May 29th-30th to raise pledges for the #landback initiatives of the Wabanaki led nonprofit Bomazeen Land Trust.

The Bomazeen Land Trust is founded and run by descendants of the Kennebec peoples at the historic Narantsouak. Our namesake is drawn from the Kennebec chief, Bomazeen, who was murdered among many others during the 1724 Norridgewock Massacre by the English.

Our primary purpose as Bomazeen Land Trust is the reclaiming, perpetual protection, and healing of ancestral Wabanaki spaces with historical, spiritual, ecological, and cultural significance to our nations, primarily in the Kennebec and Androscoggin river watersheds.

Your pledge helps us achieve our goals of reconnecting Wabanaki families with our ancestral homelands in western Maine by enabling direct descendants of the Abenaki and Wabanaki peoples to renew and resume our caretaking roles for the lands and waters of ndakinna (our land) through rematriation.

Thank you so much for your pledge of support!
